Tasha's refried beans and rice dish


*2 cups cooked Pink beans; prepared ahead of time(recipe below)

1 cup of bean juice from cooked beans

1/4 cup chopped onion

Olive oil

Pink Salt and Pepper to taste

Tasha's Refried Beans Recipe

In a skillet add 3 tbs of olive oil over low heat. Add chopped onions and sautee. Add beans and fry over medium heat until beans are soft enough to mash. Start mashing. Add bean juice little at a time until you have your desired consistency. Lower temperature and when you have your desired texture add pink salt and pepper to your liking. Serve with rice, Corn tortilla and enjoy!

*To save you time, use 2-8 oz cans of pink beans instead of cooking the fresh beans.

Tasha's Pink Beans Recipe

1 16oz bag of pink beans

3 gloves of garlic minced

1 white onion chopped

1 chicken bouillon cube

Olive oil



8 cups of water

In a skillet heat a 1/4 cup of olive oil on medium heat. Add minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, pepper and sautee until garlic is tender. Mix in chicken bouillon and allow to melt down while stirring ingredients. Pour in pink beans. Add the water and stir ingredients. Cover pot and allow to simmer on low medium for 2 hours.
